Né et baptisé à Terre-Neuve

Les registres de la paroisse Notre-Dame de Québec pour le 3 novembre 1873 font état de l'acte de baptême suivant : 

«B. 181   James Henry Shinics    River Pound New Foundland 

On the third day of November one thousand eight hundred and seventy three, we, the undersigned, Priest of the Archbishoprick, certified that, on the twentieth day of september of the said year, We have baptised James Henry born, on the twenty sixth day of April of the preceding year, of the lawful marriage, of James Shinics, fisherman, and of Romilia Gould, of River Pond Malbay, North Western coast of New Foundland. Godfather Alban Lavas, godmother Sara Shinics, sister of the child, who could not sign, no more than the father and mother of the child who were present.
