Une naissance enregistrée près de dix ans plus tard

Les registres de l'International Advent Church de Waterloo pour le 27 mai 1903 font état de l'acte de naissance suivant : 

«Glenna May daughter and issue of Daniel Nathaniel Gage, farmer and Mary Ann Higgins his wife was born in the Township of Shefford County of Shefford, Province of Quebec, on the twenty nine day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety three (1893) and was registered on this on the twenty seventh (27) day of May in the year one thousand nine hundred and three (1903) by me the undersigned minister.

     The parents here signing acknowledge the foregoing record to be correct.

Parents    Daniel. N. Gage

                Mary. A. Gage

                       Edgar G. Chadsey minister».

 

Comte tenu du délai entre la date de naissance et celle de l'enregistrement, l'absence de signatures des parents aurait été étonnante. Noter l'absence d'éléments de référence dans la marge.
