Les registres de la paroisse St. Mary d'Almonte en Ontario pour le 9 juillet 1876 font état de l'acte de baptême suivant :                             

«O'Heare, Cath Rose   B. 28 

On the ninth day of July, eighteen hundred and seventy six, the undersigned priest of this parish, baptized Catherine Rose, born on the thirteenth day of June, same year, of the lawful marriage of John OHeare and Mary-Anne M^cCaffrie. The sponsors were Hugh Fay and Mary Mann.»

 

Dans la marge, on peut lire l'annotation suivante :

« X   This entry should be of  John OHeir and Mary Ann M^cCaffrey (E.J.J.)».

                                                            

De telles annotations particulièrement appréciées par le chercheur sont malheureusement trop rares dans les registres de l'état civil.
