Mary, stated to be the daughter of Hugh Conlan of the Parish of Drumrany, in the County of West Meath, Ireland, since enlisted and now abroad, and of Anne his alleged wife (by her maiden name Macauley) late of Parish of Ballylaughlor in the same county, wan born at Sea on the twenty ninth of August, and baptized at Quebec, on the twenty ninth of October, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty four.
