Les registres de l'Anglican Holy Trinity Cathedral Church de Québec pour le 20 décembre 1813 font état de l'acte de sépulture suivant :

«Hannan buried

James Hannan, from Upper Canada, under sentence from a CourtMartial from having deserted to the enemy, from the militia of that province, aged about thirty years, died December the eighteenth, and was buried December the twentieth, in the year of our Lord one thousand and thirteenth.
By me Father Jehosaphat Mountain, Officiating Minister at Quebec
Present William ? Thos Mansoon?, private of the 10th RO B. his mark + ».
